From Ubud we took a minibus to Sanur. We had heard there was a beach festival going on with free surf lessons, yoga classes, mini massages and more. How awesome sounding! It was on our way to Nusa Lembongan anyways, a small island to the south and east of Bali. Here are some pics from the beach festival:
Hundreds of us doing sunset yoga
Another kecak performance
The next morning we headed out on a boat for Nusa Lembongan. It was such a beautiful place. We spent three days hanging out, surfing and scootering around discovering the place.
One of my favourite pictures of the whole island. This was taken at Devil's Tear, a bunch of volcanic rock formations that made lots of little pools that filled with tide water and made beautiful reflections.
We're skipping around a bit in order, this was actually taken on the last day. It was a 'flashpacker' hostel we stopped in at to get a view of the beach while on Nusa Ceningan, an island connected to Lembongan by a little narrow bridge that fits about one scooter.
Monitor lizard!

A cute little family I saw on the bridge over
The water was so clear in spots
Jerry and I watching the sunset one night, drinking wine

The view from our hotel window. Cost us about $20 bucks per night. South East Asia has the most beautiful places you can check out, for so cheap! Tell your friends.
As seen on my walk-about I did on the first day while Jerry had a 4 hour nap.
Dream Beach
This next group of photos is all from Devil's Tear

That beard tho
These two pictures were of a seaweed farm on Nusa Ceningan.
Here's the farmer harvesting some yummy seaweed
We also got some surfing in one afternoon. I sunburnt my butt so bad, even through a pair of capris!
Overall, it was a magical place. I'd go back if it wasn't so dang far away. Lucky Aussies, so close to Indonesia.
Until Next Time!
